Castello di solomeo
Castello di Solomeo Wine and Olive Oil originate as a result of Brunello Cucinelli’s desire to preserve and promote the land and its fruits, turning a dream into something tangible that will last for the next 500 years.
Cultivating the present as nature intended, with love and respect, to ensure the growth of strong, enduring roots. From this philosophy, in the vineyard and olive groves that frame Solomeo, each year the generous fruits of Mother Earth renew the cycle of life.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Castello di Solomeo originated as a result of Brunello Cucinelli’s desire to preserve and promote the land and its fruits, turning a dream into something tangible that will last for the next 500 years.
An agricultural philosophy "as nature intended", which places technology at the service of achieving the highest quality through the constant harmonization of science, conscience and human experience.
THE ESTATE
The Winery and the Oil Mill of Castello di Solomeo are part of a larger project that began in 2010 under the name Park for Beauty.
After devoting about three decades to restoring the hamlet, the Cucinelli family began the work of salvaging and redeveloping the picturesque natural spaces in the valley below Solomeo. The Vineyards and the Olive groves embody the deepest meaning of “genius loci”: a concept dating back to ancient history that represents the encounter between the natural beauty of a place, the soul of the people who live there, and the identity that they share, living their daily life in harmony with Creation.
